"This is a great restaurant with delicious food and friendly staff. We felt at home and were greeted as we entered. i will definitely make the drive up again for another meal."
"This evening, my granddaughter and I went to Rejoice restaurant in Sunrise,FL and had an edible time. We had Egusi soup with chicken and pounded yam, jollof rice, and Moi Moi ( beans.) Compared to how I make mine, there's was on point. For good authentic food the prices were good. It wasn't frozen food , like Gordon Ramsay would say "plastic." Every bite I consumed, my palate was in appreciation of the taste and flavor. The service was very pleasant and the wait time is understandable for freshly prepared food. My granddaughter and I shared the dishes and we were both full even with our juices. I liked the relaxed ambience of the restaurant, not rushed and you have a choice of take away. We also had some positive vibes and conversation. I don't know if I am allowed to say his name so I'll just say with D. I would encourage you guys to go to Rejoice, relax and enjoy some rich authentic food, different from the norm, and let your palate talk for you. Donna and Kaniyah"
"Went here for the first time and I must give an honest review. The service was lengthy, thought restaurant is super adorable. I got the goat with the egusi soup and fufu.. never had this type of cuisine. The fufu was perfect, the goat stew was delicious but too much fat on it, the egusi soup was ok but not my favorite. We order some chicken too, but it was mostly bone rather than meat."
"Ordered egusi with goat for takeout. Absolutely delish! 10/10."
"First time trying out Nigerian food. It takes me back to that episode on "Good Times" where Thelma was dating this African guy and the family got to try out fufu. It made me want to try out some of that food. I decided to start out something simpler and more familiar. I went with jollof rice, chicken, and plantains. Food tasted freshly cooked and hot. I had no idea jollof rice was that spicy, but it was good. I really liked the chicken as well. The texture of the chicken reminded me of lot like our Jamaican brown stew chicken just with different seasonings. Shouldn't come as no surprise that there is a strong connection between Jamaica and Nigeria since our ancestors came from the southern part of Nigeria. I wanted to get a taste of what my Nigerian ancestors (especially Igbo) were eating. Will be coming back to this restaurant for sure. Maybe I'll try fufu with sauce next time?"
"We visited Florida for Thanksgiving and wanted to kick off the trip with some authentic Nigerian food. A few days before we arrived, I started calling around to see who might cater on Thanksgiving day. Every place was closed including this restaurant, but after speaking with their catering lead, she graciously made a special arrangement just for us. I’ll be honest, I was a little nervous about ordering without tasting anything first, but I trusted the great reviews. I’m so glad I did because the food was absolutely delicious! We ordered jollof rice, stewed chicken, suya, dodo, and efo riro. My family devoured everything. The service is what really left an impression. We planned to pick up the food right after landing, so Bukola arranged for someone to meet us since she wouldn’t be there that evening. When I called, the young man not only answered right away, he offered to deliver the food instead of having us drive over. Within 30 minutes he showed up at our Airbnb with hot, freshly made food. Outstanding service and amazing food. They truly went above and beyond for us on a holiday. Five stars all the way!"
